VISITING FOR THE FIRST TIME
How long is a church service?
Our services will typically last between 1 to 1.5 hours
What do I wear?
We are not strict on dress code. The most important things are that you come, and you come reverently, as one who approaches the King. Some wear suits, some wear jeans. Some women wear head coverings, some do not. The Lord knows our hearts and motivations as to why we wear what we wear.

Please stick around for a few minutes after the service. We'd love to get to know you.
Like all good Baptists, we occasionally have potluck after the service!
What to expect on Sunday Morning
Corporate worship is the most significant event of the week. It is when we get to draw near to God as Christ's body while angels look on in wonder (1 Peter 1:12). Every Lord's day, we gather to glorify God through our praises, prayers, and preaching. Our order of service is modeled after Isaiah's encounter with God in Isaiah 6...just with less wings and burning coals...
Praise:
The most important instrument for Lord's day praise is the voice of the believer who was once dead, but is now alive forevermore in Christ. Therefore, we want any and all instruments used in the praise to accompany the voices, not drown them out. We sing both old, and newer hymns and spiritual songs. Come join us ready to sing, and sing loud!
Sacraments:
We serve communion every Sunday, and all believers who are walking faithfully are welcome to the table.
Giving:
For members of GRBC, giving is an act of worship. As believers in Jesus Christ, we should give with grateful hearts, not under compulsion. We are not buying our salvation but simply giving to help make disciples and advance His Kingdom.
Preaching of God's word:
While topical sermons can be useful at times, the bread and butter of our normal preaching schedule will be verse by verse exposition through whole books of the Bible. The elders will never do a sermon series on movies, or use AI to write their sermons for them...promise!
Children:
You will notice a lot of kids! The Lord has blessed us with many arrows in our quiver (Ps 127:4-5). They will be worshipping along with their parents as we see displayed in scripture. A mother's room is also available.
